Hello Monday!

Did you have a nice weekend, what are your plans for this new week?
I talked to a new retailer prospect today and it seems I will be making another batch of purses soon. This is a new shop run by designers and craft loving people. They have formed a community to join the forces for promoting and selling Finnish art, craft & design. I make consignment deals very rarely these days but this one gives me warm feelings so I'm going to give a try.

More sweetness on my newest treasury...

It seems that a rainy weather we got on the weekend is here to stay. It must be good for the nature so I am not complaining any further! Perhaps these beauties in shades of turquoise will make our day a happy one!

I have noticed some of my Etsy friends, those who have been selling there for years have now decided to open independent shops and close their Etsy stores. I have also noticed it is so much harder to be seen on Etsy today. I have been doubting do I still have energy to make such big efforts for my shop there too. On the other hand I wouldn't like to quit the journey now because of a great and highly supportive community Etsy has to offer, I do love my customers and fellow sellers there! How do you feel about the current situation? Have you felt unmotivated to keep your Etsy shop active just lately? I would love to hear your voice on this matter.

Good Monday to everyone!
Did you have a nice weekend? I do hope so. I managed to test the new interfacing fabric, sew linen pouches for the upcoming group exhibition and finished a couple of new clutches for my shop (pictures still need to be taken).

We booked tickets for Tampere Film Festival which presents a wide variety of films next weekend. We'll get to see a series of French animations from 1938 till today. With the same visit I'll drop my work to the exhibition venue. I hope to meet a friend living in town too.

Before the fun weekend there's so much to do. I might not be able to blog much again but keep in touch with me on Twitter, I'll pop in during my breaks every day. See you around!

Flickr Favorites

1. Seahorse, 2. day 61: dippin' dots, 3. Pink Champ-rain <3, 4. Love the Moment

I started playing Flickr Favorites game two weeks ago, inspired by Mitsy. I couldn't make a mosaic last Tuesday but here I come again with a new color palette. I just realized that seahorses (Hippocampus) are the most incredible little creatures. They look like fragile relics from completely other world, don't they? They are so tiny in their size too. I'm amazed!

You can see more inspiring mosaics linked to Mitsy's blog. Come and play along!

Flickr Favorites

1. happy monday, 2. 183:365 Half Way, 3. Our more and more frequent guest ..., 4. WhoInTheWorldAmI?

I got a friendly invitation from Mitsy aka ArtMind to play a fun flickr favorites game. This is my first attempt to put a collage together by not using PhotoShop. Instead I used mosaic maker by bighugelabs. I have to say that after this first try I still find PS more convenient!

I'm quite new to flickr, I haven't even collected many favorites yet but I found these with a beautiful soft light after a little search. When I browsed around I was thinking whether or not people are at ease having their pictures put together with someone else's pictures. I had to go and check their profiles to find out if any of them had something against this. Maybe I'm just being too cautious but too many are using other people's pictures and other art work without much respect. I want to do my best to avoid any misuse.

If you wish to get a little inspiration, go and visit Mitsy's blog and maybe even add some of your flickr favorites there too. There are many beautiful mosaics to see and feel, enjoy!
