My Creative Space

I'm making small thank you cards for my Etsy customers. I always like to include a small personal note along the order. I think it's a nice and polite way to show I really care for them.

So I cut, draw and stamp, cut, draw and stamp, cut draw and stamp. Many times! And soon I have a whole bunch of sweet cards waiting for being sent away. Then, I would like to take a nap by the fireplace, just like my lilla katten Ula.

New Work !

Last week I got the idea of new purses, I talked about it in my creative space post on Thursday... So here they are now, made from recycled and upcycled linens, embellished with dahlia pin backs, fully lined and reinforced for body and structure. I will start listing them in my Etsy soon, probably on Wednesday evening. I'm pretty happy with this project of mine so far!

How do you like them?

It's going to be somewhat busy week. My new purses are being finished, photographed and listed in my Etsy this week. Also, I'm making a new batch of pouches and jewelry for KUIdesign in Turku. I need a big burst of energy and that's how I ended up searching lime, red and black finds for this Monday. I hope they bring joy to your week too!

Weekend Wishlist

This weekend it would be nice to:

- Sew more of these new little purses you see in the picture above (1st one got done yesterday and the result made me really happy!)
- Get them photographed
- Watch a DVD I have had in my mind for long
- Rake dropped leaves in the garden

How about your wishes, do you have any?

ps. Did you see Karuski 'Then & Now' article at ScoutieGirl? Thanks Judit and Tara for having me there!

ps.2 All my clutches currently sale in my Etsy shop get -20% off. Until further notice!

My Creative Space

I found these nice linens from my fabric stash. Some are remnants from fabric store's sale box, few I bought years ago in Tallinn, Estonia. Looks like the brown one has my print experiment on it. For some reason I never used it when it was printed. Somehow I feel I need to put together a bit stronger colors than usual. My items have recently been quite pale in colors so a little change could be welcome. Now that I should have a little more time to get prepared for Christmas season I want to experiment something new. I made few fabric dahlias yesterday (those of you who have been following me know that I've had brooches and necklaces made out of them), they will soon embellish new clucthes I'm about to try now. So linen clutches with cotton flower embellishments is my plan. I hope they will turn out just fine. There's always a risk when trying out something new. We will see!

Custom Work Finished

I finished my custom wholesale order and had it mailed out yesterday. Here are few pictures of my work I did for Unkai. I spent quite a while editing pictures last night and got a feedback today: they will use my product pictures on their shop site, yippee! It's so nice to have my items represented there the same way I do on my site and in my Etsy shop. I also prepared a bunch of nice packages for those pouches (I used vintage wallpaper and paper tags I got from my fellow Etsian Greet of Fleurfatale). Now, these would make sweet little gifts for the Christmas, for example. They will be soon available here (they do ship internationally but you need to get a shipping quote by emailing them...).

Fluffy Weekend

May I introduce you our new family member: a tiny kitten we got yesterday. He's 12 weeks old and we only know his Mom was found wild in the nature when expected him and his little sister. The kittens were born in the shelter and their Mom is now taken care and getting accustomed to people too.

Last night we didn't sleep so well. Our bigger cat 'Kiti' was sort of anxious about a new comer. Also, a little one 'Ula' was probably scared of the new place and situation. Today we have progressed but it will take some time before these two get smoothly together (I hope it will eventually happen).

So these are my weekend news. Have a fluffy weekend, you too!
