Hello, hello!

A new week is here again.
How was your weekend?
I relaxed quite a bit
and didn't work all that much.
There was a photography project to finish
but other than that I took it pretty easy.
On Sunday evening we had a chance
to see a great, great concert of Prince of Assyria.
He's a Swedish singer/song writer
with amazing voice and touching lyrics.

Monday Moodboard

Hello Monday!

We had a lovely sunny weekend here *smile*
I'm almost done wallpapering and organizing my studio.
Perhaps I can show pictures in a few days time.

But guess what.
It started to snow again, it's true.
I can't pack my mittens and scarfs just yet.
But I keep on dreaming of spring!

Monday Moodboard

Hello, it's a new week again!

The weekend was really nice.
On Saturday we went to see an art exhibition in Fiskars village.
The exhibition itself wasn't all that great
but I loved the sunny weather and time spent with H.
We also planned some small home deco project:
wallpapering one wall in our bedroom.

Yesterday evening I started to update my site
and there's still some work to be done.
I really wish I had nice shots with a model.

Happy Valentine's Day!

It's freezing cold in Southern Finland today: -21 celsius so I'll be adding wood to our fireplace.

I spent the weekend in Stockholm with H and what a great time we had. I had a chance to meet with sweet Carolina yesterday. We met at Moderna Museet, visited the current exhibition, checked out the Architecture Museum and chatted with a cup of coffee. I'll post some pictures this week!

I also met Saori, my Japanese friend at the furniture fair, she had her work on display at Konstfack's space. We spent almost all day at the fair. There's always so much to see and the most inspiring things are usually exhibited by students. I absolutely want to share a few of my favorites later this week.

Hello Monday!

Did you have a nice weekend, what are your plans for this new week?
I talked to a new retailer prospect today and it seems I will be making another batch of purses soon. This is a new shop run by designers and craft loving people. They have formed a community to join the forces for promoting and selling Finnish art, craft & design. I make consignment deals very rarely these days but this one gives me warm feelings so I'm going to give a try.

Weekend was good, I hope you enjoyed yours.

Thanks to H, my family and friends (in real life & online alike) I had a wonderful birthday on Saturday!

Here are some lovely finds for you to start the week with, each made of vintage materials. My weak point is vintage and recycled fabric + vintage jewelry parts too. On Saturday I went to a local flea market and found a great black leather skirt. I was thinking to use it to make a few pouches just to find out it fits me. Now I need to re-think what to do with this skirt. Oh, and the best part is it did cost only 3 euros.

This new week started with freezing cold temperature (-20 c last night and -12 c this afternoon) and sunshine. I will make sure to have enough wood logs by the fireplace for sure.

The weekend was full of work as I attended a holiday craft market on Sat & Sun. Thanks everyone who stopped by at WeeGee and liked Karuski's table! Now I will start preparing for designmyyjäiset taking place in less than two weeks in Turku.

Hello Monday!
Although we are still enjoying warm and [partly] sunny days there is definitely autumn in the air. You know how it feels and smells; something little crispier and fresher than in the midst of the summer. I must say autumn is my favorite season of all four. I feel lucky to have all four seasons here in Finland.

Yesterday we went for mushroom hunting. We found lots of chanterelles and other delicious fungi. It would be lovely to pay a visit to a forest every weekend. I love those mossy places!

Hello Monday!
I'm posting my Monday Moodboard pretty late considering I woke up before 7 am today. This is absolutely something I don't do every morning thus I'm feeling quite exhausted now. It's almost absurb that my day has been so much longer than usual but I still feel I cannot accomplish everything I should. I'm soon going to have a mental break down or something.

I picked light grays to my moodboard, partly because I don't feel very cheerful but also because I do find them soothing in their own way. And isn't there a nice light on goodmorningmidnight's photo, I really like it!

By the way, if you have a moment pay a visit to Indie Icing where I got a chance to curate a Mini Monday today. There's more soft light for all of us. Wishing a calm week to you & me!

It is snowing so thick here again but I'm dreaming of sunny spring days already. Well, one can dream, right! It's entirely a jewelry theme today and I chose fresh mints and greens to my moodboard, I hope you enjoy them too.

The weekend was truly a nice one, I wish I had birthday every week! Thanks for all wishes and congratulations you sent through my blog and facebook, it was a delight to receive them.

This is a button themed moodboard. Who wouldn't get inspired by buttons? Of course there's a bit of lace involved too. Talking about the lace, we visited a nice flea market yesterday, a place which is open on Saturday and Sunday only. I found an old basket to store bits and bobs, two heart shaped tins and four (!) meters of vintage lace. One friendly lady had such an inviting corner there, I loved watching all old stuff she had brought to sell. I will definitely visit this place again.

How was your weekend?

I made a weekend wishlist last Friday. It involded quite a few things but this is what I got done: homemade soap and a new clutch (well, still figuring out one detail but that doesn't count, ok!). Other than that we had such a cold weather so I only took a walk to town and back on Saturday, didn't go for ice-skating as planned. I also wished to bake something sweet but didn't until today (blueberry muffins are in the owen while writing this post).

My birthday is approaching fast. Maybe this made me search something with gold and some shine. I'm loving Bonzie's picture where the lady holds her skirt in a form of heart, did you notice the same?
